QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE
- Namibia Senior Secondary Certificate (NSSC) with Accounting as one of the subjects
- Basic Accounting/ Bookkeeping Diploma would be preferred.
- Experience in Ships Agency invoicing required – min of 2 years.
- Knowledge of Accounting, VAT Rules.
- Knowledge of Debtors, Creditors and Cashbook
- Intermediate – Advanced Excel
- Experience within the Shipping & Maritime Industry required
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Customer Billing
Ensure invoicing quality
- Receive, review, and accurately capture supplier bills and credit notes.
- Compiling and ensuring on time and error free invoicing.
- Follow up on queries
Work In Process Management
- Monitor projects to prevent open projects exceeding 60 days.
- Reconcile WIP, passing journals where necessary.
Reporting
- Processing data for monthly Top Debtor Reporting
Recordkeeping:
- Maintain and archive customer records, recons, purchase orders and other relevant information.
Cashbook administration
- Fill in for Cashbook Administrator when required by:
- Reconciling bank statements and maintaining accurate financial records
- Reconcile & update the Foreign currencies and N$ Cashbook daily
- Update Cashflow statements daily
Customer Service/ Relationship Management
- Establish & Manage relationships with Key Stakeholders.
- Manage Client Services
Excellent Service Delivery
- Deliver Client Services and maintain a client centered approach.
- Ensure Compliance with relevant legislation.
Ad hoc Duties
- Assist in Ad hoc duties as per Management’s instructions
- Must be willing to work overtime when necessary.
