QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in maritime operations, preferably in a ships agency or similar environment.
- Proven experience in sales and business development within the maritime industry.
- Proven experience in operations management with strong leadership and strategic thinking skills.
- Deep knowledge of shipping industry regulations, port operations, and maritime logistics.
- Knowledge of CRM software and sales tools would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Office and maritime software systems.
- Fluency in English; additional languages would be considered advantageous
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development:
- Develop and implement robust sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Ships Agency industry.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends and competitor analysis.

- Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations to potential clients.

Operations Management:
- Oversee all operational activities, including planning, organizing, and controlling, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational performance and achieve business goals.
- Manage a team of dedicated professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a culture of teamwork and excellence.
- Analyze operational data and metrics to identify areas of improvement and develop action plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, improve overall efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate and supervise the arrival, departure, and turnaround of vessels, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
- Liaise with port authorities, customs, and other relevant stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.
- Manage and resolve operational issues, including delays, disputes, and emergencies, promptly and effectively.
- Monitor and optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all operational activities.
- Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance to senior management.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure the company’s competitive edge.
