QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12 certificate.
- Certificate or Courses within the shipping and logistics field would be advantageous.
- 1-2 Years relevant customs, shipping and logistical experience
- Basic understanding of import and export regulations
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Prepare Customs Entries for import, export and cross-border shipments, ensuring compliance with all relevant Customs laws and regulations.
- Facilitate and conduct inspections with authorities when required.
- Handling the shipping and port documentation.
- Arrange the efficient transportation of goods, liaising with carriers and other logistical partners to ensure timely delivery.
- Managing bonds and validations and ensuring that all necessary requirements and deadlines are met.
- Keeping records up to date on the files and system.
- Communicate with Clients and Supplies and act as the primary point of contact, promptly responding to inquiries, providing shipment status updates and addressing any concerns.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of various logistical costs and be proficient in applying this understanding to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Resolve any issues that arise during customs clearance and shipping process, working closely with relevant stakeholders.
- Preparation of files for final billing process.
