QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE

- Basic Accounting Diploma
- International Trade and Transport Diploma
- Similar position – > 6 years
- Shipping and maritime industry – > 6 years
- Proven experience within the clearing and forwarding industry.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Unit/Division Management
- Manage the performance of the Business unit / division
- Communicate and manage performance requirements
- Monitor progress and provide sufficient feedback to staff
- Provide support to the department where required
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation
- Ensure the department complies with all relevant legislation
- Manage Risks
- Proactively identify possible risks and ensure timely action to mitigate or reduce said risks
Financial Management
- Ensure controls are in place
- Ensure compliance to systems, processes and controls.
Customer Services / Relationship Management
- Establish and manage relationships with key stakeholder’s
- Maintain relevant key stakeholder relationships
- Actively collaborate to make all stakeholders ambassadors of Trade Ocean
- Attend / address required forums / events
- Manage client services
- Handle escalated problems, enquiries and needs in a timely fashion
- Ensure and manage quality of delivered products and services
- Maintain excellent client services
- Ensure competitive products and services
- Ensure the retention and expansion of market share
- Establish partnerships with preferred producers, suppliers and buyers
Excellent Service Delivery
- Deliver client services
