QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE
- Matric
- Valid Driver’s License
- Familiar with Customs legislation, tariff classifications, INCOTERMS and Customs Valuation.
- Thorough knowledge of Export/Import documentation & procedures
- Working knowledge of controlled goods documentation & procedures (e.g., Perishable & Dangerous Goods and Prohibited and Restricted Goods)
- Working knowledge of third-party quality control authorities’ procedures – ITAC, State VET, Plant Inspector etc
- Sound knowledge of Bond & Acquittal procedures
- Computer Literacy
- Knowledge of Shipshape advantageous
- Experience in Airfreight import operations – advantageous
- Formal Entry Clerk course completed – advantageous
- Minimum 3 years’ experience
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Frame entries on all modes of transportation and submit correct customs documentation
- Manage port documentation
- Apply for customs refunds
- Assist operational and admin staff
- Adhere to policies and procedures
- Ad hoc Duties
- Basic knowledge of Forwarding and Route Controlling advantageous
